END OF SEASON NEWS!

Hey guys! The state meet went FANTASTIC!!! So proud of all our girls! We had some new skills made for the first time. We went in with confidence and had a blast! :)

Just a few things you need to come for the coming days and weeks.

*Team photos are up! You can visit www.memorylainephotography.com to view the photos and get your placed.

*Our year-end TEAM PARTY is this next Monday, May 24th and will be held at Miss Rebekah's church, 5501 S. Post Rd., at 6:30 PM! Parents, you need to sign up to bring food! We're having a Spaghetti Party. The sign-up list is on the bulletin board at the gym. The gym will be providing dessert, drinks and plates, etc. You won't want to miss the party! We give out fun and serious awards every year and the kids LOVE it! Seriously just recently one of our groups could name off what each gymnast received last year of the silly awards!! Made me smile! :)

*Open Workout for Level 4, Level 5 and Level 6 this next Monday, May 24th from 4 PM to 6:15 PM. Since we won't be having regular workouts next week, this will help out!

*Please sign up your gymnast to come perform their team routines at Little Olympics next weekend. We'd love to have all our levels represented at each show! The sign-up list is on the team bulletin board.

*Summer session starts June 1st! Our Level 2/3 workout will be held on Tuesdays from 7-8 PM during the summer session. Our Level 4's will be Tuesday/Thursday 4 PM to 5:30 PM. Our Level 5's and up will be Tuesday/Thursday 5:15 PM to 7 PM and Wednesday 4 PM to 6 PM.

*Team Camp is set for July 12th-14th and is open to our 2010-2011 Level 3's and up. Cost is $65.00 and needs to be paid by June 18th! We also need your gymnast's leotard size for the camp leo!

About Level 5/6 state meet session

I've already had several parents ask me about the Level 5 and Level 6 session and if there are any other gymnasts in that session or if it's just our kids. If you'll notice on the schedule, teams were not listed on the 1st session (Level 1's and 2's) ether because ALL of the teams of those levels come to the same session. However with the Level 3's and 4's, there is more than one session of each level so they had to label which teams were coming to each session so we'd know when to have our kids there.

I'm sure there are more 5's, 6's and 7's in that last session on Saturday because they wouldn't do a session just with our 9 kids and a few boys. :) I'm not sure what age groups everyone will be in but I'm sure we'll have competitors.

TAG STATE MEET: BARTLESVILLE MAY 14-15

Hey guys! We have the state meet schedule!!! Whoohooo!

The Tag State Meet will run May 14-16. Please read carefully. The level 3’s are split into 2 sessions and the level 4’s are split into 3 sessions. The 4's were schedule for Sunday morning but thankfully we were able to switch it to Saturday!! I know it's quite a drive no matter what time you compete. It will be a fun & special meet!!

UPCOMING TEAM EVENTS & NEWS

Here are a few tidbits you’ll want to know about for upcoming team activities!

*Team photos will be taken on Friday, May 7th here at Tumble Stars. We will schedule times for each level to be here for individual photos and a group photo but we’ll also have a time where we’d like everyone to be here to get a big group shot of ALL our team, all levels, together. I’ll try to get a pricing sheet from our photographer so you can all be planning your orders ahead of time.

LEVEL 2 & LEVEL 3: 6:00 PM
ALL LEVELS FOR GROUP TEAM PHOTO: 6:20 PM
Level 5 & Level 6: 6:30 PM
Level 4: 6:50 PM

*We will have our regular workouts at the gym through May 21st. The gym will close for classes the following week but we will be hosting an Open Workout for team kids Levels 4 & up on Monday, May 24th from 4 PM to 6:15 PM.

*We will be hosting our annual Little Olympics shows on Thursday, May 27th, Friday, May 28th and Saturday, May 29th. We will need at least one gymnast from each level at each show. We’ll have sign-up sheet up on the board soon. If you sign up for one night, your daughter is welcome to perform at all the shows that day. There will be two shows on Thursday, two on Friday and three on Saturday.

*Summer workouts will start June 1st! Remember, we need to know by April 30th whether your team gymnast will be competing with us another season so we’ll know what numbers to prepare for this summer.

*We’d like to finish off this season with a team party!

We will have a sign up list to bring spaghetti, sauce, side dishes and hot bread. We will provide all the drinks & dessert! We’ll get a sign up list for this on the board soon, too! Also, we’ll be presenting awards to each gymnast so don’t miss out!!!

TEAM PHOTOS: MAY 7TH and other team news!

We have scheduled our team photographer to come in on Friday, May 7th for team photos! We'll be taking individual gymnast photos, team photos as a level and also one big group shot of all our team kids, all levels combined, together! I will post times for your level to arrive for photos on the bulletin board in the next week or two. It will be after 6 PM since we have classes going on at the gym until 6 PM on Fridays. Also, I'll post package prices, etc. for ya!

Next week we'll be passing out team invites and information for next season. Summer session is required to compete in the 2010-2011 season. Also, we will be hosting a team camp in July for our Level 3 and up gymnasts for the 2010-2011 season.

VICTORY MEET TIME

Hey guys! We finally got a meet time for Saturday! All our gymnasts will compete in the same session beginning at 8:30 AM this Saturday, April 3rd at Victory Gymnastics in Oklahoma City. They are located just south of I-240 on Penn. Please be there by 8:15 AM, hair fixed and all!

I think they are having an Easter Egg Hunt after competition but BEFORE awards. I'm guessing it's in their gym since they're in a big shopping center and don't have a yard. :) So you might stick in an Easter basket for your gymnast. If not, I'll have some extra bags for the kids to use just in case! Hopefully it'll be fun...and quick :) so everyone can go on to enjoy their own Easter weekend!

Open Stretch starts at 9:00 AM followed by warm-up on each event.

We recently received a meet flyer for a meet at Victory Gymnastics in south OKC on Easter weekend. We're going to go ahead and attend that one since it's local rather than traveling to Claremore once again. So excited about a local meet.

MEET UPDATES, ETC.

Good morning, guys! We have lots of news just posted on the team bulletin board @ the gym but wanted to share it here as well.

The Norman TAG meet that was cancelled due to the weather last weekend will not be rescheduled in February. We will be having our meet entries refunded.

In the meantime, I've found us another meet to attend in February! Whoohoo! It is in Muskogee on Feb. 20th. The only deal: I have to know by this THURSDAY, FEB. 4th if your child will be going to the Muskogee meet or not. I have to email our entry in on Friday so please let me know whether your child IS or IS NOT going to get to go to this Feb. 20th meet!

We've also decided that our March meet will be March 6th in Skiatook. That way we'll stay away from Spring Break (and in my family, the state basketball tournaments where hopefully my brothers will be coaching!). :) I still have to get the meet deadline and entry info on this meet but will know by the end of this week. I'll have a sign-up list up next week so watch the bulletin board for that!

Lastly, we've already received meet info on the State TAG Meet set for May 7-8 in Bartlesville. Meet entry will be $37.00 and is due by March 26th. I'll add that sign-up list on the bulletin board in a few weeks!

MEET CANCELLED!

The Winterfest meet in Norman that was scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled due to the lovely weather. :) They will reschedule our TAG meet to a Saturday in February to be announced. Stay safe & warm this weekend and we'll see you at Tumble Stars next week!

Meet update!

The latest on the Winterfest meet as of Thursday 4 PM:
Due to the weather, the Friday night session is moved to Saturday morning, Jan. 30th. All TAG gymnasts compete Saturday morning starting at 9 AM.
They will update the meet schedule again Friday at noon.
